Recently people from all over the UK gathered at Nagarjuna KMC Thornby for the UK Dharma Celebration at which Kadam Bridget Heyes, National Spiritual Director for UK and Ireland, granted empowerment and teachings on the practice of Medicine Buddha.
Last Sunday, the Temple at Manjushri KMC was packed with people from all over the region. Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong, General Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU and Resident Teacher, gave a Public Talk explaining Kadam Dharma in a very powerful and accessible way.
The United Kingdom Dharma Celebration is an annual event where people from the whole UK have a chance to come together and celebrate the teachings of Modern Buddhism in a peaceful yet vibrant environment.
September will see three Kadampa Dharma Celebrations: The Quebec Dharma Celebration, UK Dharma Celebration & Nordic Dharma Celebration.
Last weekend, many practitioners from all over the world, and of all levels of experience, gathered together in the Morden temple for world peace to engage in Gen la Khyenrab’s special weekend retreat on Mahamudra.
Manjushri KMC is now closed to the public and preparations have begun in earnest for Summer Festival 2022.
After the busiest month ever, the Manjushri Cafe closed with the staff and volunteers celebrating with a party on the lawn. The next day they set about a deep clean of the cafe preparing it to transform into a Festival cafe.
During the pandemic KMC Glasgow Teacher Gen Machig was contacted by BBC Radio Scotland to help the nation with guided meditations and wisdom advice.
Last Saturday 260 people attended the Grand Opening of Kadampa Meditation Centre Leeds, with General Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU, Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong.
Summer Festival 2022 will be hosted at the Mother Center in England, Manjushri KMC. Here we feature some volunteers from all across the UK who came to help prepare for the Festival.
