At the very heart of modern Kadampa Buddhism are the three core study & meditation programs developed by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, enabling everyone to develop inner peace.
To make the precious teachings of Buddha available equally to everyone in the world Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche envisioned a Kadampa center in every major city, offering a range of classes & courses.
For people to learn to meditate correctly and apply Buddha’s teachings to their lives they need qualified Teachers. For this reason, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche emphasized training Teachers of many nationalities.
The very heart of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche's enduring legacy is the extraordinary collection of 23 books he composed. These highly renowned works are the basis of the study programs at the centers.
From the time Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche oversaw the design and production of the first Kadampa Buddha statue, producing qualified statues and other adornments for Temples and meditation halls around the world has been a major project.
Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche inaugurated three International Kadampa Festivals, which are organised every year. Held in the Temple for World Peace at Manjushri KMC and others major centers around the world, they are the very core of the international Kadampa community and the means by which the International Buddhist Union is maintained and developed.
In addition, Venerable Geshe-la inaugurated National Festivals and national and regional Dharma Celebrations to provide opportunities for people practicing Kadam Dharma to benefit from the power of gathering.
