A Magical Weekend: Vajrayogini Retreat IN PERU

Last weekend, a beautiful retreat was held in a wonderful place outside Lima, based on the condensed self-generation sadhana of Vajrayogini: The Blissful Path. The purpose of this retreat was to connect with this simple, profound and complete practice.

Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Gyatso Rinpoche said:

‘Those who wish to train in the self-generation of Vajrayogini as a daily practice, but who have insufficient time or ability to practice either the extensive or the middling sadhana, can fulfil their aim by practicing this short sadhana with strong faith. However, whenever we engaged I the recitation, contemplation and meditation of this sadhana, The Blissful Path, we should be completely free from distractions, With distractions we cannot accomplish anything”

This retreat allowed practitioners to go to the heart of Tantric practice, encouraging them to perform a steady daily practice and to keep Tantric commitments with purity and joy.

In addition, valuable experiences were shared among the participants and magical moments of deep peace were experienced. This meeting not only strengthened faith and discipline, but also created a space for spiritual bonding and learning

meditation workshop in Cheshire

Odiyana KMC welcomed over 50 people to our meditation workshop taught by senior students Julie Forrest and Belinda Johnson. In this workshop people had the chance to listen to teachings and engage in meditations on topics such as inner peace, precious human life, developing equanimity and compassion. Lots of people, new to the center and to meditation, reported really enjoying the experience and are eager to come back.

The Sangha helped out with cooking and cleaning to make sure the day was a huge success.

An Evening of Gratitude and Inspiration in Karlsruhe

On Friday, January 17, we had the privilege of hosting a special volunteer appreciation evening at Kadampa Meditation Center Karlsruhe. This evening was dedicated to our wonderful Sangha – all the diligent helpers who help make the center a place of peace and inspiration with their time, energy, and dedication.

The evening began in a warm and loving atmosphere, with a heartfelt welcome to our new Sangha members and sincere thanks to our experienced supporters. Together, we enjoyed a delicious meal prepared especially for this occasion. It was a moment to pause, reflect, and celebrate the joy of working together.

In addition to the social gathering, there was space for inspiring discussions. Feedback, new ideas, and suggestions were exchanged, focusing on how we can use our tasks at the center more consciously for our spiritual growth. It was moving to see how the shared aspiration to help others through Dharma unites and motivates everyone present.

The evening impressively demonstrated the strength and joy our Sangha derives from its sense of community. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this enriching evening an unforgettable experience.

We look forward to another year of inspiration, growth, and support at Kadampa Meditation Center – and, of course, to our next volunteer appreciation event!

WEEKEND WITH buddha AMITAYUS IN SAN CRISTOBAL DE LAS CASAS

At Drolma Kadampa Buddhist Center we had a wonderful weekend with Buddha Amitayus retreat, inspiring us with the powerful blessings of this beautiful practice.

Our Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Kunwang, gave us an introduction, telling us about the special qualities of Buddha Amitayus and giving us a commentary on how to practice The Yoga of Buddha Amitayus.

With great love and compassion, we dedicated our practice to increasing lifespan, wisdom and merit for ourselves, our family, friends and all sentient beings.

Many thanks to the spiritual friends who made this special retreat possible with their pure intention, time, energy and presence!

Thank you Venerable Geshe-la for offering us this wonderful practice!
