Previously we shared photos from centers around the world celebrating New Year’s Eve in various ways. Here we share more from that day. Enjoy!
Centers around the world celebrated New Year’s Eve in various ways, entering 2025 with Buddha’s blessings. Communities gathered to enjoy courses, empowerments, chanted prayers, and festive buffets to start the year in the most meaningful way. See the article to hear from Manjushri KMC and KMC Darlington in the UK, Tharpaland KMC and KMC Hamburg in Germany.
Manjushri Centre is magical in every season and in the short days of winter the Temple seemed especially warm and welcoming as people from the UK and beyond gathered together for a special weekend with Gen-la Dekyong.
KMC Wales recently hosted Gen Dornying in Swansea for two transformative events. The public talk at Brangwyn Hall, “How to Find Happiness from a Different Source,” and the day course, “Learning to Let Go,” offered profound insights into meditation and practical wisdom, deeply touching attendees and encouraging positive feedback.
The Christmas course at Manjushri KMC, led by Gen Kelsang Tilopa from December 23 to 27, 2023, was a memorable experience. Participants gathered to explore the theme “Finding Meaning and Purpose in Your Life,” delving into teachings about happiness and inner peace.
What a wonderful weekend! People arrived at MKMC on Friday evening for a weekend course with Gen-la Dekyong. Over the weekend Gen-la gave the blessing empowerment of Je Tsongkhapa and commentary to the special Kadampa prayer “Request to the Holy Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche from his Faithful Disciples”.
Join us at the Mother Center this December for the blessing empowerment of Je Tsongkhapa and teachings on the special Kadampa prayer “Request to the Holy Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche from his Faithful Disciples”, including teachings on close retreat.
Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab had a special visit to Vajrapani KMC this weekend. He gave a public talk on Friday evening, “Lift your life out of the ordinary”, followed by a day course on Saturday, “Being fearless in appearance and emptiness”.
Bodhisattva KMC in Brighton recently hosted two of its popular free beach meditation sessions, each attended by over 200 to 250 people. The first was led by the Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Jigme, who offered participants the opportunity to engage in a short meditation focused on the clarity of mind. The second event was given by visiting teacher Gen Kelsang Demo, who is the resident teacher for KMC DC, and was centered around a meditation on wishing love.
Last weekend KMC Glasgow welcomed 54 retreaters for a 4 day retreat on the Isle of Arran. Gen Cho gave teachings on the six perfections.
