Special Close Retreat ~ collecting 100,000 Guru Sumati Buddha Heruka mantras in the Kadampa Temple at the Mother Centre of the NKT, Manjushri KMC
At Manjushri KMC, a temple full of visitors and residents learned how to be inspired, confident and joyful in the New Year with a special teaching by Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong, General Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU.
This week, Manjushri KMC, the mother center of Modern Kadampa Buddhism, is alive with visitors and residents enjoying the Christmas course with Gen-la Thubten entitled As smooth as Lapis Lazuli. Everyone is enjoying the profound, yet practical teachings and meditations.
Over the past month students of Kadampa Meditation Centre Leeds had the good fortune to attend special talks given by guest teachers Kadam Bridget, Gen-la Thubten and Gen-la Kunsang.
The South West Dharma Celebration this year was hosted by KMC Plymouth. 85 people from throughout the region gathered to receive the empowerment of Buddha Vajrapani and teachings on the five forces from Kadam Bridget Heyes, National Spiritual Director for UK and Ireland.
The special weekend course with Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong included everything – extraordinary teachings from Gen-la , guided meditations and retreat led by Gen-la Kunsang, a Sojong Ceremony for monks and nuns and a Pratimoksha Vow Ceremony.
Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre is thronging with hundreds of joyful people who have gathered for a special weekend with Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong, General Spritual Director of NKT- IKBU and Resident Teacher at Manjushri KMC.
Last weekend people gathered at Tara International Retreat Centre to receive teachings on the Four Noble Truths with Kadam Bridget Heyes, the NKT-IKBU National Spritual Director of the UK.
Last weekend, many people – new practitioners and more experienced Kadampas alike – gathered together from all over the UK to listen to Gen la Thubten’s powerful explanations of how we can use Dharma to solve all our daily problems and make ourself happy all the time.
On Sunday Kadampa Meditation Centre Leeds offered guided meditations, historic building tours throughout the day and Q&A with their resident teacher, Buddhist monk, Gen Kelsang Rabten available to everyone in their local area.
