On this day, 25th October, we celebrate the life and deeds of the great Buddhist Master Je Tsongkhapa, the founder of new Kadampa Buddhism. We remember Je Tsongkhapa’s great kindness and dedicate all our virtuous actions so that his Dharma will flourish throughout the world and provide many living beings with the opportunity to attain liberation and full enlightenment.

Following the Fall Festival, visitors gathered in Granada to explore the historic convent that is being transformed into a new Kadampa Dharma Center and hear Gen-la Dekyong share the inspiring vision behind this special place.
It’s the final day of the Festival, which finishes with two calm and focused retreat sessions enabling us to consolidate all we have received at this rich feast of Dharma.
Every International Festival concludes with retreat and it is incredibly powerful to meditate in the collective stillness and concentration of a thousand people and in such a blessed setting. Gen Lochani guides a beautiful retreat, clearly structured to give everyone time to deepen their faith and engage in the requests contained within the Migtsema prayer according to Highest Yoga Tantra.
On the final day of teachings, Gen-la Dekyong gave us even more extraordinary Dharma jewels. Like a mother, she holds nothing back, sharing the most profound explanations and inspiring us to treasure and practice them.
Gen-la’s teachings are illuminating and inspiring, teaching us how to recognize our Spiritual Guide correctly and how, in Je Tsongkhapa’s teachings, we find a clear, unmistaken, and complete explanation of emptiness, and also a clear, unmistaken, and complete explanation of great bliss.
Today we received many teachings on the power and meaning of the migtsema prayer from Gen-la Dekyong. This prayer, which was composed by Manjushri and revealed in the Kadam Emanation Scripture, helps us to appreciate his unique holy qualities, to develop faith and to maintain a faithful connection with Guru Tsongkhapa. In this way it continues to live as mantra, protecting and uplifting our minds, and bringing great benefit to our spiritual practice.
It’s very special to wake up to the first full day of the Festival in such a beautiful setting as Kadampa Meditation Center Spain.
