For many Kadampa centers, January is a retreat month and retreats of various levels and duration are organised at centers around the world. Here is a selection of the longer ones:
This last weekend was very special for KMC Austria. After over 2 years of renovation and finishing work, the KMC was officially opened at a beautiful ceremony with Gen-la Kelsang Kunsang, NKT National Spiritual Director for Austria, Switzerland & Italy.
The students at KMC San Francisco had a fantastic time celebrating our 30th Anniversary this past weekend! It was so wonderful to be together as a community again and to receive the profound blessings of the Bodhisattva Vow from Gen-la Kelsang Jampa.
Last weekend, KMC Nottingham opened the doors to its grand new location at Gedling House.
The day began with a half day retreat on loving kindness, after which an open house was arranged for the local people to meet their new Kadampa neighbors and take a look inside a building they know and love.
Last weekend saw the Nordic Dharma Celebration 2021 held at Kadampa Meditation Center Oslo with Gen Kelsang Dragpa, National Spiritual Director of the Nordic region.
Full house at KMC Plymouth this weekend! The center was the venue for the South West Dharma Celebration with Kadam Bridget Heyes, National Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU for the UK and Ireland.
KMC Los Angeles walks for World Peace and KMC DC is qualified as a safe space
With the help of the International Temples Project, KMC Durban in Southeast Africa acquired new land and set about building a new center from the ground up. Watch the progress of their center so far.
On October 13, the contractors broke ground on the new accommodations and dining room building at KMC New York. However, kind Kadampa volunteers started work well before then. In order to prepare the area for the contractors to start their work, they had to take up the road grid and gravel that was running through the building site.
Last Saturday was ITP Day, when we celebrated the work of the International Temples Project, a worldwide charitable project that works to fulfill the wishes of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.
