KMC New York is located on 82 acres in Glen Spey, New York, in the beautiful Delaware River Valley, approximately a two hour drive from New York City, and just minutes from the New Jersey and Pennsylvania borders.

The center is home to the second traditional Kadampa Temple built as part of the International Temples Project.

Besides hosting many of the National Festivals Dharma Celebrations in America, the center also provides a full program of General Program, Foundation Program, and Teacher Training Program classes, with branches in New York state, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.

The Temple was opened by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso at the International Fall Festival in October 2006.

The Temple covers 13,000 square feet, and houses many magnificent statues, including a 2.5 meter Buddha, the largest cast in the West.
