A Place Chosen by Venerable Geshe-la
The Living Power of the Migtsema Prayer
Tsongkhapa Crown Ornament of the Land of the Snows
Today we received many teachings on the power and meaning of the Migtsema prayer from Gen-la Dekyong. This prayer, which was composed by Manjushri and revealed in the Kadam Emanation Scripture, helps us to appreciate his unique holy qualities, to develop faith, and to maintain a faithful connection with Guru Tsongkhapa. In this way, it continues to live as a mantra, protecting and uplifting our minds, and bringing great benefit to our spiritual practice.
Lamrim is the Real Medicine
The first line praises Tsongkhapa as the Crown Ornament of Scholars of the Land of the Snows. We may not be in a land of snow, but we are surrounded by mountain ranges, and he continues to be our crown ornament in modern times. Gen-la Dekyong shares with us that Venerable Geshe-la explained his teachings are 100% Lama Tsongkhapa's doctrine, nothing else.
A Sacred Place in the Spanish Hills
A Temple for Future Generations
Je Tsongkhapa established the Ganden tradition in the snow mountains of Tibet and constructed many great monasteries. Venerable Geshe-la established the New Kadampa Tradition for modern people and personally chose and blessed the location of this Temple for World Peace rising so majestically amidst the hills. His vision of a Temple in the orange grove at Kadampa Meditation Center Spain became reality, benefiting thousands of people with an extremely blessed environment where they can find and follow the spiritual path.
Abiding in Blessings
A Haven of Peace and Happiness
Everywhere you see people enjoying the special atmosphere of this place, sitting in the shade of peaceful glades of trees, enjoying the cafes, and working to benefit others. There is a feeling that we are abiding in the blessings that pervade this pure environment. It is easy to be happy, to cherish others, and to enjoy Dharma.
