Day 7 A Festival of Faith, Gratitude and Kindness

Concluding the Festival in Retreat

Carrying Dharma into Our Hearts

It's the final day of the Festival, which finishes with two calm and focused retreat sessions enabling us to consolidate all we have received at this rich feast of Dharma.

Onward to Granada

Leaving with Happy Hearts

Happy people leave in large groups on coaches to the airport or by car, while others stay behind to work together to take down the Festival. Many also make preparations for a trip to visit the special new center in Granada tomorrow - the home of our Spiritual Guide for so many years.

Filled with Faith and Gratitude

Rejoicing in Our Guru’s Kindness

We are leaving filled with faith and gratitude, appreciating the incredible vision and kindness of our precious root Guru. He has given us not only perfect, clear and profound teachings but also all the other conditions that we need to lead a vibrant spiritual life.

A Special Celebration Awaits

Looking Ahead to 50 Years of Kindness

As we say goodby to one Festival we look forward to seeing you next year at the International Festivals in the UK when we will celebrate 50 years of Venerable Geshe-la's kindness.

A Worldwide Gift of Dharma

Venerable Geshe-la’s legacy

2027 is the year we celebrate 50 years since Venerable Geshe-la came to the West and began to establish Buddhism for the modern world. During that time Venerable Geshe-la has given us 23 texts containing the authentic teachings of Je Tsongkhapa's lineage in a presentation suitable for modern people and in our own languages. He established hundreds of Dharma centers around the world offering Dharma in hundreds of cities and communities and trained qualified Dharma Teachers for these centers. He instituted the three unique study programs of the New Kadampa Tradition and engaged in many other auspicious activities that continue to enable Dharma to flourish strongly and purely in our modern world. He designed and oversaw the construction of six Kadampa Temples for world peace, each a peaceful refuge and a place of pilgrimage.

The Journey Continues

Repaying Our Guru’s Kindness

Next year we celebrate all his kindness and make a special effort to continue his work and to repay his kindness. How? By causing Kadam Dharma to flourish: bringing it to new places, creating new centers and giving energy to many other developments that meet the needs of modern people.

Everyone is welcome to join in these activities.
