In the fall of 2019, the fifth Kadampa Temple for World Peace, based on the mandala and the heavenly mansion of Buddha Heruka, Buddha of Compassion, was inaugurated in the peaceful surroundings of the IKRC Grand Canyon. Both the special five-tiered architectural design and the sacred art within reveal that the temple is a representation of the Pure Land of Heruka Buddha and Vajrayogini Buddha.

In 2013 Venerable Geshela spotted a large church for sale in the beautiful neighborhood of Los Feliz which the International Temples Project acquired. Over the years, the center moved to various locations throughout the city, including Santa Monica, Westwood, Crenshaw and Elysian Valley. Kadam Dharma came to Indianapolis, Indiana in the late 1990s. Beginning as Dromtonpa Kadampa Buddhist Center, and later becoming Kadampa Meditation Center Indianapolis, the Center offers classes, workshops, retreats, and other special weekend events.

Kadampa Meditation Center Boston is located a short walk from the bustling area of Davis Square, on a main street in Cambridge just a mile north of Harvard University. It serves the greater Boston metro area by offering weekly classes and special events.

In addition, branch classes are running with the help of other teachers in Back Bay, Beverly, Newton and Portland, Maine.  KMC Boston has developed outreach programs with Harvard University and other local schools and has been offering a monthly free outdoor meditation in the Boston Public Garden in the warmer months, April to September.

KMC New Mexico was established in Albuquerque by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso in 1997. The original center was named Shakyamuni Buddhist Center and located in a small home in the Nob HIll area of Albuquerque. As the center grew we moved several times and in 2008 became KMC New Mexico. In 2016 we opened our urban temple where we enjoy serving the Albuquerque community and all of New Mexico by spreading the precious Kadam Dharma.

The Je Tsongkhapa Kadampa Buddhist Center opened it’s doors in 2016 in the

Mahakankala Kadampa Buddhist Center was founded in 1995 by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche while he was doing a writing retreat in Santa Barbara. Upon opening the Center, Geshe-la explained the meaning of Mahakankala: “The name ‘Mahakankala’ is a Sankskrit name. ‘Maha’ means ‘great’ and Kankala has many meanings, but its principal meaning is ‘compassion’. Therefore, the real meaning of ‘Mahakankala’ is ‘Bodhisattva’.
