KMC Barcelona’s retreat month ended this weekend with a week of retreat on completion stage led by Gen-la Thubten.

As snow fell on the lakeland mountains around Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre, fortunate retreaters gathered to collect 100,000 name mantras of Guru Sumati Buddha Heruka.
The month of January is a special month in the Kadampa calendar during which we emphasise the practices of Heruka and Vajrayogini, the principal Highest Yoga Tantra Deities of modern Kadampa Buddhism. Today, the twenty fifth day of the month, is Heruka Day.
A six-week counting retreat of Guru Sumati Buddha Heruka together with instructions from the Kadam Emanation scripture is being
guided by Resident Teacher Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab at the Tara International Kadampa Retreat Center.
Kadampas from all over Germany gathered to engage in the Guru Sumati Buddha Heruka counting retreat. Being able to practice the Hundreds of Deities of the Joyful Land sadhana and recite 100000 mantras has been a wonderful and blessed opportunity.
Kadampa Meditation Center Madrid has received over 70 people to enjoy these days of retreat with Gen-la Thubten. Gen-la is leading us through a sequence of magical meditations. Everyone is really happy and enjoying this precious opportunity.
The three main centers in Texas – Austin, Houston, and Dallas had their first annual away retreat on the Guru Yoga of Je Tsongkhapa.

This weekend two feet of snow fell overnight at the International Kadampa Retreat Center Grand Canyon making for a beautiful morning at the temple during the start of their Lamrim week.
