If we engage in the practice of giving our future happiness our happiness will never diminish but only increase
Developing the three types of love and in particular understanding that in samsara no-one experience true happiness. In this way we develop the wish to practice giving happiness so that they may be truly happy.
If we understand the benefits of Taking and Giving we will naturally engage in the practice.
Everything starts with imagination. By using our imagination we can make the reality we wish for an actual reality.
We can develop compassion through developing Affectionate love, Cherishing love and Wishing love-wishing all beings to be happy. Then compassion will naturally arise. Compassion is a mind that is motivated by cherishing others and wishes them to be free from suffering.
We begin this meditation by developing a mind of pure compassion. When we meditate on taking, we are taking the suffering of others. We are giving pure, uncontaminated happiness, supreme inner peace.
Universal love and compassion is the key to a pure world. As long as our min is polluted by delusions we cannot have it.
