Here are two blessed events from recent weeks in Eastern Canada. In Montreal, they celebrated the 30th anniversary of their beautiful center with a visit from Gen Samten and KMC Quebec held an away retreat.

Festivals are an international experience. As Geshe-la teaches us, they are the best method for maintaining our International Kadampa Buddhist Union. We are living, studying, meditating and working together as one society; having meetings together, learning from each other, being inspired by others; and feeling part of something bigger than our local centers.
On the first Saturday in April, we celebrate NKT Day, a time to reflect on the profound kindness of our Spiritual Guide and Founder, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. We deeply appreciate his gift of the New Kadampa Tradition, which provides us with a pure spiritual path, guiding each of us towards a life of lasting happiness and deep meaning.
This month precious blessing empowerments were given at KMC Mexico and KMC Montpellier in France. These events help us to develop compassion and wisdom, to appreciate our great potential, and eventually lead us to permanent peace and liberation from suffering.

Here are three blessed events from the last few weeks in South America that deepened students’ connection with Buddha and their Sangha communities. The events are from Colombia; Rosario and Zona Norte in Argentina; and Montevideo in Uruguay.
In March, the South African Dharma Festival with Gen Rabten was held at KMC Durban and the Southern Dharma Celebration with Kadam Morten at Kadampa Meditation Center North Carolina.
