This weekend the people of Canada are enjoying the Canadian National Festival with Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab the National Spiritual Director for Canada and Resident Teacher at KMC Canada.
KMC Glasgow closed it’s doors on March 16 to protect our community and to support the governments message of ‘Stay Safe and Stay Home’. Within 4 days of closing our centre, something quite extraordinary manifested . . .
Last week a van set off from Manjushri KMC bound for Aberdeen in the north east of Scotland with a precious cargo from the Kadampa Art Studio.
After 174 days closed due to these unusual times, the World Peace Temple in Brazil is open again.
Friday, October 16, will be Work a Day for World Peace Day, during which people all over the world will dedicate a day’s wages or whatever is a comfortable amount to help with the work of the International Temples Project.
Last weekend, the Southwest US Dharma Celebration was live-streamed from the IKRC Grand Canyon, with Kadampas from all over the Southwest of US tuning in! With our minds prepared, we received the beautiful blessing empowerment of Buddha Shakyamuni from Gen Kelsang Rigpa.
On Tuesday Sep 8, Kadampas round the world join in special prayers to Buddha Tara to pray for the welfare of the world.
We recite the prayer Liberation from Sorrow in six sessions over the 24-hour period. The session times are 02:00, 06:00, 10:00, 14:00, 18:00 and 22:00, UK time. You can join in as many sessions as you wish.
This weekend the people of Portugal are enjoying the 2020 National Festival both online and, for a fortunate few, at the beautiful Temple at KMC Deuachen in Sintra.
With the first phase of re-opening of Manjushri KMC successfully completed – the Temple, cafe, shop and grounds once again open to the public and live classes and meditations once again taking place in the Temple – attention now turns to the next phase – an extended programme of in-person and online courses.
In January we featured the work Tharpaland KMC had started on converting the old ballroom in the Schloss into a dining room for guests. Yesterday, during center cherishing, they moved into the newly finished dining room. The previous dining area will now be converted into a modern cafe for visitors.
