Extended retreats provide a precious opportunity to deepen our meditation, experience the bliss of a Pure Land, and realize that creating a pure world is possible. Here are some retreats offered this month by Kadampa centers.
Many centers also concluded their January full-length retreats with powerful fire pujas. In this second feature, we share more inspiring glimpses of these purification ceremonies — please enjoy these special moments.
Kadampas had an inspiring start to February with empowerments being granted at their centers. At KMC Karlsruhe, participants received Buddha Shakyamuni empowerment and teachings on the Eight Auspicious Symbols. KMC Bilbao enjoyed a Green Tara empowerment, while KMC Vancouver welcomed Buddha Vajrapani, followed by a mini retreat. Meanwhile, Sangha in Pachuca, Mexico received Dorje Shugden blessing empowerment, offering protection from obstacles on the spiritual path.
Part 2 of our coverage of the annual inspiring Buddha Amitayus retreats. From Mexico to France, Spain and the Lake District in the UK, participants deepened their practice and received blessings to strengthen their life force, increase wisdom and accumulate merit.
Gen Kelsang Atisha recently visited Medellín, Colombia, offering inspiring Dharma courses and a heartfelt public talk and Gen Eupamé shared meaningful teachings during his visit to Nantes and Rennes, France, bringing joy, clarity, and encouragement to practitioners in both communities.
People were greeted at KMC Granada in Spain and Menlha KBC in Marseille, France by a sea of blue and gold as they came to receive the blessing empowerment of Medicine Buddha.
During February, many Kadampa centers organize pujas, retreats, teachings and empowerments of Buddha Amitayus, the Buddha of long life, wisdom and merit. KMC France, KMC Alicante in Spain, KMC Colombia, and KMC Cuernavaca & Bodhisattva KBC in Mexico have already engaged in this wonderful retreat.
Across Ireland, France, and Argentina, Kadampa communities came together for empowerments, retreat teachings, and public meditation events. From Green Tara blessings at the Irish Dharma Celebration, to the conclusion of a month-long retreat with the Six Perfections and Bodhisattva Vows in France, and outreach meditations in Buenos Aires, these events offered inspiration, connection, and spiritual growth.
On Sunday, nearly 300 people gathered at Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre for a wonderfully inspiring Public Talk with Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong.
