During the first weekend of April the community of Nagajuna KMC together with Sangha from across the country gathered to receive Medicine Buddha empowerment and teachings on Medicine Buddha Sadhana.
Kadam Bridget Heyes, Resident Teacher and National Spiritual Director for the UK, gave inspiring teachings, while Gen Kelsang Chodor guided meditations to help deepen the Sangha's connection with Medicine Buddha.
We recently had a very special weekend at Kadampa Meditation Centre London at the City Meditation Space in Kensington, where nearly 100 people gathered to receive Medicine Buddha empowerment and teachings from Kadam Lucy James.
The community of KMC London were able to develop a deep connection with Medicine Buddha, receive powerful healing blessings, and learn practical methods to support both our personal well-being and the well-being of others.
Recently, the community at Bodhisattva Kadampa Meditation Centre in Brighton gathered to receive the blessing empowerment of the Great Mother Prajnaparamita with Resident Teacher, Gen Jigme. It was a joyful occasion for all who attended.
At the end of March, Kadampa Meditation Centre Ottawa hosted an inspiring and magical event: a Dorje Shugden empowerment with Gen Kelsang Thekchen, called Wisdom Protection.
From the very beginning, during the preparations, those involved felt they were helping to create the conditions for a powerful event that would genuinely increase wisdom protection for everyone attending. Even before the empowerment began, the atmosphere was harmonious, joyful and free from stress, with Dorje Shugden seemingly guiding every step.
During the empowerment, Gen Thekchen’s light and approachable manner put everyone at ease. His clear explanations made profound teachings on Dorje Shugden practice accessible, helping participants feel connected to our lineage and supported by the wisdom protector’s care and protection.
A particularly special aspect was the meditation room arrangement, which allowed Gen Thekchen, visualized as Je Tsongkhapa, to move among the participants and grant the blessings of body, speech, and mind personally. This touched our hearts and felt very moving - a memorable experience for all.
After the empowerment, the community gathered around the shrine, quietly appreciating what had been created together, many inspired to capture the moment.
The following day, Gen Thekchen gave a commentary to Melodious Drum, followed by a well-attended puja, with many new and long-time students participating. It was a very auspicious weekend for the center.
KMC Darlington recently held a Buddha Shakyamuni empowerment weekend — it was a truly joyful event.
Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Chogma, also gave commentary to The Liberating Prayer and taught how to use this special prayer, written by our precious Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe-la, to develop deep faith in Buddha Shakyamuni. In this way, it is possible to continually receive the blessings of Guru Buddha.
