Gen-la Kelsang Jampa becomes the General Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition.
Gen-la’s Arrival at the Mother Center in UK
Yesterday morning Gen-la arrived in the UK and traveled to the mother center.
A New General Spiritual Director
Today, in accordance with the Internal Rules of the New Kadampa Tradition, this morning Gen-la Dekyong passed on the responsibility of being the General Spiritual Director to Gen-la Jampa in a special meeting in Venerable Geshe-la's room.
After the handover, Gen-la Jampa met with the executive officers of the New Kadampa Tradition, who warmly welcomed him in his new role.
Tonight Gen-la will preside over Offering to the Spiritual Guide prayers – his first as GSD and as the Resident Teacher of Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre.
