On March, the Sangha of Kadampa Meditation Center Montpellier had the great good fortune to welcome Gen Kelsang Eupamé, National Spiritual Director for France, for two special events held in Montpellier and Nîmes.
These two days were filled with joy, inspiration, and a strong sense of connection. Through these precious teachings, participants were able to deepen their understanding of Dharma and strengthen their spiritual practice.
With heartfelt gratitude, the community expressed sincere thanks to Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche and Gen Eupame for making such meaningful opportunities possible, as well as to all those whose kindness and dedication helped create these joyful events.
Recently in Madrid, there was great happiness in welcoming Gen Kelsang Rigden, Resident Teacher at the Kadampa Temple for World Peace in Portugal, as part of the celebration of 30 years of Kadampa Buddhism in the city.
During his visit, he gave a special public talk entitled We Are Spiritual Travellers, encouraging participants to reflect on their lives from a broader perspective and helping them discover deeper meaning and direction in their daily experiences.
He also guided a retreat at the center’s mountain retreat location entitled What Death Teaches Us About Life. Through clear and practical teachings, he showed how contemplating impermanence can be a deeply positive practice, enabling us to live with greater lightness, clarity, and compassion.
These inspiring days offered a precious opportunity for practitioners to deepen their understanding and experience of Dharma. Participants felt deeply grateful for the chance to come together in such a meaningful way. The impact of these teachings will surely remain in their hearts for a long time.
In March 2026, a beautiful away retreat was held in the Yorkshire countryside for the Sangha of Preston and Huddersfield. The retreat was led by Gen Kelsang Pagpa from Vajravarahi Kadampa Meditation Centre and Gen Kelsang Varahi from Vajrapani Kadampa Meditation Centre.
Over several days, they offered clear and practical instructions on how to develop universal love and compassion, how to strengthen the wish to attain enlightenment for the benefit of all living beings, and how to understand that all phenomena are empty of inherent existence.
Participants also enjoyed time for questions, peaceful walks in the countryside, and moments of relaxation together at the World Peace Café, creating a warm and harmonious retreat atmosphere.
