visits Wales
The Sangha of Wales and the surrounding area were delighted to welcome Gen-la Khyenrab, Resident Teacher of Tara IKRC and Retired General Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU. Gen-la gave a talk and a day course, in-person and online.

Gen-la Khyenrab began his visit to Wales on Friday evening with an inspiring talk, Change Your Mind, Change Your World, to a full house at the Brangwyn Hall, Swansea.
Gen-la explained how we create our world through our mental attitude, and guided two beautiful meditations that he encouraged people to use in daily life.
FANTASTIC DAY COURSE
On Saturday, KMC Wales was full as Gen-la taught a day course called The Stillness Within, and many more people joined online.
Gen-la gave teachings on how to cultivate the special inner conditions that we need in order to find the happiness that we are all seeking. He explained how to stop developing negative minds such as anger towards others, and instead cultivate positive attitudes of patient acceptance, love and compassion.
He encouraged us to develop a realistic inner protection of refuge based on logical reasoning so that we can hold a faithful mind towards Buddha and his teachings, Dharma. Finally, he gave an exceptionally clear and practical explanation of emptiness, emphasizing that this is the wisdom we need to gain to end all pain and suffering, both our own and others.
People traveled from across South and West Wales and from South West England for these very special events. Some people were meeting Kadam Dharma for the first time, and everyone felt inspired to deepen their experience and practice in daily life.

Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for providing us with everything that we need to begin, make progress on and complete the spiritual path.
