So much is happening at KMC Rio de Janeiro — many events where we see the joy of Kadampas coming together, sharing light, laughter, and inspiration.
Public talks in and around Rio
Over the past few months, KMC Rio has organized a variety of inspiring public events across Rio de Janeiro (at the main university and well-known museums) and beyond - including our distant branch in Vila Velha and the city next door, Vitória. We also travelled to the neighboring city of Niterói.
It’s wonderful to witness Dharma flourishing in this vast, vibrant, and often challenging city.
TRADITIONAL PARTY & NEW MURAL IN FRONT OF KMC RIO
Brazilians love to celebrate, and what a beautiful thing it is to combine that joyful spirit with virtue! In June, the whole country prepares and celebrates a very typical festival here: Festa Junina! Of course, KMC Rio could not be left out.
Our future new home was transformed into a magical fairy-tale setting, where we enjoyed teachings on the virtue of patience, shared delicious traditional food and drinks from this time of the year, and played the traditional games transformed into Dharma games. Even joyful dancing spontaneously appeared.
A highlight of the day was the unveiling of a stunning mural at our front entrance.
Everyone who passes by stops in awe, takes a moment to gaze at Geshe-la, and receives blessings.
Truly a day to remember!
