Sharing wisdom after the Spring Festival
Jun 16, 2025
We travelled to the magnificent Vosges mountains in northeastern France, near the border with Germany for a weekend retreat. This was a wonderful retreat, the first away retreat organized by Kadampa Meditation Center Metz.
Around thirty people from all over the Grand Est region (Moselle, Meurthe et Moselle, Alsace, Vosges, Luxembourg) and Paris, shared the precious teachings of Venerable Geshe-la, taught to us by Gen Kelsang Konchog. The retreat was at the Haut du Tôt chalet in Sapois, the highest village in the Vosges. It was an opportunity for the Sangha to meet and talk around pleasant meals and beautiful walks in an environment conducive to serenity, contemplation, and meditative experience. Gen Konchog guided us with great gentleness and skill to connect with the pure nature of our mind and lead us to discover how all phenomena are in the nature of our mind. We were thus able to explore with greater peace and clarity Venerable Geshe la's advice on the practices of loving others, humility, rejoicing and compassion.
Thank you to all the participants for these wonderful moments of joy, sharing, and discovery. Thank you to all the people who organized it, thank you to our dear Teacher, and thank you Venerable Geshe-la.
It was a wonderful weekend, engaging in retreat on The 4 seals of Mahamudra with the French teachers Gen Kelsang Sangye and Kadam Olivier together with the Sangha of Toulouse, Montpellier and Barcelona. The days were full of teachings, contemplation and much joy; an opportunity to let go of everything ordinary and connect with our true nature.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to IKRC Menorca for graciously hosting our recent retreat on the stunning island of Menorca with Kadam Bridget Heyes.
It was a joy to be joined by Sangha from the UK and Europe, coming together in such a beautiful and peaceful setting to receive the powerful and transformative teachings of our Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
Kadam Bridget shared teachings that were not only deeply moving but also remarkably accessible. Her clarity, warmth, and ability to present profound spiritual truths in a practical and down-to-earth way made it easy for all of us to take her advice to heart and apply it in our daily lives.
We are truly grateful for this enriching experience and the opportunity to deepen our connection with Dharma in such an inspiring environment.
