Purification and Spiritual Connection with Buddha Vajrasattva
This month the empowerment of Vajrasattva, the Buddha of purification, was given at the Kadampa Temple in Portugal and in Asheville (US)
A Rain of Blessings and Purification in Portugal
Nearly 100 people gathered at the Kadampa World Peace Temple in Portugal for a special event
- Vajrasattva empowerment, granted by our Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Rigden. This precious opportunity allowed us to receive the powerful blessings of Vajrasattva, the Buddha of purification, and deepen our understanding of the practice of purifying our negative karma.
The event was filled with moments of inspiration and spiritual connection. Kadam Antonio Santos guided a profound meditation session, helping us prepare our minds for the empowerment. The event's final day was dedicated to a meditation retreat, where participants engaged in the Meditation and Recitation of Solitary Vajrasattva sadhana, allowing them to apply what they had learned and experience the transformative power of this practice.
This meaningful weekend also served as a perfect preparation for the upcoming 2025 Portuguese National Dharma Festival in April, when we will have the immense privilege of receiving Avalokiteshvara empowerment from Kadam Bridget Heyes, United Kingdom's National Spiritual Director. The National Festival will be another opportunity to receive powerful blessings, strengthen our practice, and deepen our connection with our spiritual lineage.
Dear Venerable Geshe-la, Guru Vajrasattva, you dedicated your life and efforts to manifesting the New Kadampa Tradition for us—through creating Dharma Centers and Temples like this one, study programs, Teachers, books, prayers, empowerments, ordained and lay Sangha—all with the sole purpose of helping us to attain the supreme peace of enlightenment by transforming and purifying our minds from the inner poison of delusions and their seeds. We pray that you always remain with us as our refuge and protector, guiding us, and that we may repay your kindness by being pure, humble, and sincere disciples, helping to spread your vision for world peace.
Inspired Vajrasattva Empowerment in Asheville
On March 8th at Je Tsongkhapa Kadampa Buddhist Center we received the blessing empowerment of Buddha Vajrasattva. Kadam Sharon inspired us with her deep and heartfelt teachings.
It was a very joyous day filled with love, blessings, and beloved Sangha!
