Aug 3, 2026
After several weeks of dedicated work, a joyful and harmonious atmosphere continues to fill KMC France as the Resident Teachers and community work, volunteer, and pray together.
The Resident Teachers of the New Kadampa Tradition have gather together at their spiritual home, Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre, to participate in an annual International Teacher Training Program (ITTP).
This January, attendees of close retreat at the Mother Center were blessed with the extraordinary opportunity to enter a month-long Dorje Shugden Close Retreat, guided by our Resident Teacher, Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong. As Gen-la’s final close retreat at Manjushri KMC, the month unfolded as something deeply special and profoundly powerful.

Over the holiday period we share this beautiful video excerpt from our Spiritual Guide and founder Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. May we never forget his kindness and strive to repay it by putting his teachings into practice.

Over the last few weeks of this year, participants in France, Switzerland and Ottawa have had the opportunity to explore meaningful objects such as karma and emptiness in various winter courses.
At the beginning of December, Kadampa communities in the UK and the US hosted blessing empowerments of Je Tsongkhapa, Medicine Buddha, Buddha Shakyamuni, and Thousand-Armed Avalokiteshvara. With thoughtful preparation, these special ceremonies welcomed participants to receive blessings and deepen their spiritual connection with Buddha through meditation and meaningful teachings.
KMC Madrid recently hosted two inspiring events. Nearly 100 people attended a public talk on ‘How to Be Happy’, led by Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Tsongmo. Following this, participants enjoyed some stillness during a ‘Silence and Concentration’ retreat, that focussed on compassion in the tranquil setting of KMC Madrid La Sierra.
The Temple has been completely transformed overnight in preparation for the Highest Yoga Tantra empowerment of Vajrayogini. A stunning, newly created metal statue of Vajrayogini rises majestically from within the empowerment shrine.
