Read about some other recent activities organized by Kadampa centers around the world.
On the weekend of March 1st, the Sangha community in Hamburg gathered to receive the empowerment of Buddha Avalokiteshvara, followed by teachings on the practice of Avalokiteshvara sadhana and guided meditations. Unfortunately - or fortunately - everyone was so focused on the content of the event and conversations with Sangha friends that not a lot of pictures were taken to share here, so we can only offer a tiny glimpse into this lovely event.
Everybody, please enjoy it anyway!

On the first Sunday in March, we had a harmonious, joyful, and above all, very meaningful afternoon at KMC Berlin, making empowerment tormas with Sven Riemer and Kirsten Berbig. Our Kadampa teens also joined the workshop, enriching the group with their presence and power.
First, we received inspiring and clear teachings on the special meaning of this offering—requesting and attaining spiritual realizations—as well as the pure motivation that tormas embody and with which they are offered: renunciation and the supreme good heart of bodhichitta.
During the practical part, we received skillful, individualized guidance to shape beautiful and auspicious tormas. It was a wonderful experience, as we exchanged thoughts on the precious Kadam Dharma in a relaxed atmosphere, and everyone was able to joyfully complete their tormas.
Last weekend, KMC Colombia hosted two events in Pereira, a city located in the heart of Colombia’s coffee-growing region. On Friday evening, the Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Atisha, gave a public talk titled Live Lightly, where around fifty attendees gathered to hear teachings on how to lighten the mind and embrace a more peaceful way of living.
On Saturday afternoon, Gen Atisha led a course called Guided Meditations for Inner Peace, where participants explored meditation techniques that can help achieve happiness and transform their lives.
We hope that these activities mark the beginning of the growth of Dharma in the coffee region and inspire the spread of Dharma teachings throughout Colombia.
Our Medicine Buddha empowerment at the weekend with Gen Thekchen was a wonderful experience for all - many profound and healing blessings, many inspirations to use this practice to bring healing energy into the world, and a wonderful unifying gathering of our community, working together for many hours to make this magical event happen.
Thank you Geshe-la and Gen Thekchen for helping us manifest this magic in our meditation room at KMC Ottawa!
Odiyana Kadampa Meditation Centre was delighted to welcome Gen Kelsang Chonyi to teach a day course.
The course was based on Buddha’s wisdom teachings, revealing the true nature of reality – emptiness, which opens the door to limitless possibility. On this day course we learned how to become completely free from all our suffering and solve all our problems by applying emptiness in our daily lives.
We welcomed students both new and old to immerse in a full day of wisdom teachings - not to mention a delicious Thai Panang curry lunch.
It was a beautiful day with precious Sangha listening, meditating and contemplating these profound teachings. A huge thank you to Gen Chonyi for her experienced teachings and guided meditations.
