Celebrating loving Kindness in Washington
North west Dharma Celebration 2021
More than 75 students gathered from all around the Pacific Northwest for a magical Dharma Celebration at KMC Washington last weekend. This year, Gen Kelsang Rigpa, Western US National Spiritual Director and Resident Teacher at KMC Los Angeles, granted the blessing empowerment Buddha Maitreya and gave teachings on Loving Kindness to participants both in-person and online.
The introduction was given by Gen Kelsang Rinzin, Resident Teacher at KMC Washington and KBC Tushita, and the meditations were led by Kadam Heather, Resident Teacher at Mahasiddha KBC in Portland, Oregon.
"A fortunate group of folks in Washington, Oregon, Hawaii and beyond received the blessing empowerment of Buddha Maitreya. People actively training in loving kindness is just what our world needs. Thank you Gen Rigpa! Thank you Gen Rinzin, thank you Kadam Heather.

Thanks to our Spiritual Guide Venerable Gesha-la's kindness, our precious teachers’ efforts and our beautiful spiritual community we had the good fortune to experience a weekend full of love and blessings of Buddha Maitreya. I was fortunate to be a part of this celebration from overseas and spend time in Tushita Pure Land with Buddha Maitreya in my heart. Thank you for this wonderful event.

As always, Gen Rigpa was very inspiring. I very much enjoyed the empowerment and teachings given. I feel that all of us there, both online and in-person, were drawn closer together along with all other beings. We are all striving for enlightenment that we can share with the world.
