Last weekend the 2020 California Dharma Celebration was held both in-person and online from KMC Hollywood.
Gen Rigpa, National Spiritual Direcotr for Western USA, granted the empowerment of Dorje Shugden and commentary to the long protector practice, Melodious Drum Victorious in all Directions.
We learned how Dorje Shugden is the supreme heart jewel of Dharma Protectors who is principally responsible for maintaining the life of the Ganden Oral Lineage instructions. And how by deepening our way of relying on him, in dependence upon the instructions contained within Melodious Drum, we can swiftly gather the necessary conditions to gain all the realisations of this profound lineage within this life.
Gen Rigpa described the miracle of finding Je Tsongkhapa’s path and the tireless efforts of Dorje Shugden and his retinue to help us practice this path amidst the distractions of modern life.
Why rely on Dorje Shugden?
Beings in this present time have a strong karmic link with Dorje Shugden, and so he is the Dharma Protector who is most able to help them. This is why it is said that, "Now is the time to rely upon Dorje Shugden."
Dorje Shugden always helps, guides, and protects pure and faithful practitioners by granting blessings, increasing their wisdom, fulfilling their wishes, and bestowing success on all their virtuous activities.
