The practice of purification is one of the four great preliminary practices. The practice of Meditation and Recitation of Buddha Vajrasattva is a powerful method for purifying our mind and actions. Recently KMC Spain, KMC Barcelona, KMC Madrid and KMC Cologne in Germany engaged in this wonderful purification practice, organizing retreats at their centers.
It is a tradition at KMC Spain to end the year with a Vajrasattva purification retreat. During this time, Gen Kelsang Chokga taught how to purify negative karma with the 4 opponent powers.
There was time for silence and we went for a walk reciting the Vajrasattva mantra. There were long-time students and very new people who were delighted by this practice.
It was a purifying and very meaningful retreat.
We thank our Teacher, Gen Kelsang Lochani, and Nicolas Guerrero, Resident Teacher of Je Tsongkhapa KBC in Zaragoza, for the profound teachings we received. More than 150 people who participated in this weekend full of healing, peace and inner transformation.
We are sincerely grateful for the opportunity to share this unique experience. Thank you also to the people who voluntarily dedicated their time and energy to make the retreat possible, and to our dear root Guru for being the light that illuminates our path.
At KMC Madrid La Sierra, under the compassionate guidance of our Teacher, Gen Tsongmo, we enjoyed a
transformative purification retreat based on the teachings of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.
Over the course of four days, more than 120 people participated both in person and via livestream, immersing themselves in this precious practice.
Together, we delved deeply into the four powers of purification—the power of regret, reliance, opponent force, and promise—gaining profound inspiration and practical experience to purify our negative karma and obstacles.
It was a joyful and meaningful opportunity to refresh our minds and hearts, leaving us with a sense of inner
peace, clarity, and spiritual rejuvenation.
At New Year, Kadampa Meditation Center Cologne offered a two-day lamrim retreat, followed by a two-day Vajrasattva retreat guided by our Resident Teacher, Gen Lobma.
People from Düsseldorf and Bonn, and from as far as Stuttgart and Berlin enjoyed two meaningful city retreats, meeting Venerable Geshe-la's superior presentation of lamrim for the first time or deepening their meditation practice in three sessions a day.
The breaks between sessions allowed time for discussions, reading, or walks in a beautiful winter sunshine along the Rhine.
