Introduction

Yesterday, hundreds of people gathered at Manjushri KMC, the mother center of Modern Kadampa Buddhism, for a weekend course with Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong the General Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU.

Gen-la is teaching a course on the uncommon yoga of inconceivability entitled Opening the Door of Keajra Heaven. These precious instructions reveal how to train in superior transference of consciousness, an uncommon practice of Vajrayogini Tantra, that gives us inconceivable meaning in this life and in countless future lives.

FRUITLESS SEARCH
In her introduction, Gen-la explained how we will never find the true happiness we seek within samsara. Rather we need to set a new destination for our life - the Pure Land of Keajra, where we can enjoy pure everlasting happiness effortlessly.

Gen-la reminded us of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche’s teaching about a thief who entered Milarepa’s cave in the night looking for something of material value. Milarepa heard him and called out, ‘How do you expect to find anything valuable here at night, when I cannot find anything valuable here during the day?’

In the same way our search for happiness in the darkness of samsara is a fruitless search. We are searching for something that even all the Buddhas with their omniscient wisdom cannot find.
