With the Asian Festival rapidly approaching, we continue our series on Kadam Dharma in Asia with a look at the center in Hong Kong. Here is an introduction to this dynamic center in their own words:

KADAMPA MEDITATION CENTRE HONG KONG
KMC Hong Kong was established 17 years ago with the aim to provide people in Hong Kong with the opportunity to learn Buddha’s teachings in an accessible manner and practise them in their daily lives so that they can experience inner peace in these hectic and distracted times. To fulfill this aim Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche created a peaceful city sanctuary located right in the heart of Hong Kong Island.

RESIDENT TEACHER
The Resident Teacher at KMC Hong Kong is Gen Kelsang Tonglam, who is the National Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU for East Asia. He is also the Resident Teacher at KMC Taiwan.

Gen Tonglam has trained under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for over 25 years. He is renowned for his ability to present Buddha’s most profound teachings in simple and practical ways, injecting a renewed enthusiasm and driving force into our ordinary life.

DYNAMIC PROGRAM
KMC Hong Kong offers a dynamic year-round program of drop-in meditation classes, meditation workshops and retreats, as well as Buddhism study programs in both Cantonese and English at the main Center in Causeway Bay and the branches throughout the city.

KMC Hong Kong is run by volunteers who themselves are dedicated practitioners. It is wonderful to be part of a spiritual community dedicated to improving oneself and benefiting others.

ASIAN FESTIVAL 2018
