IKRC Grand Canyon recently enjoyed two weekends with Gen-la Kelsang Jampa, Resident Teacher and Deputy Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU.
Over 150 fortunate ones received Buddha Vajrasattva empowerment and teachings on purification from Gen Tonglam, which is so practical and helpful in this challenging time.
At a time when many are confined to their homes most of the time, Kadampa centers around the world have emphasised reaching out to people and bringing the joy of Buddha’s teachings and the peace of meditation directly into their homes through special online activity.
Inside, the building feels deserted and what few people there are distance themselves appropriately. Residents, students on the ITTP and working visitors who remained when the lockdown started occupy the vast building of Conishead Priory, home of Manjushri KMC.
People throughout France recently experienced some online magic. 470 people gathered online for the French Dharma Celebration at which Gen Kelsang Eupame granted the empowerment of Vajrasattva and teachings on purification.
Through the magic of modern technology, the kindness of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, and the help of all the people involved, this year’s Swiss Dharma Celebration was live streamed around the Swiss area, including Italy and Austria.
Recently over 200 people from all over Germany, the Netherlands and Austria participated in the German Dharma Celebration online.
April 15 is Buddha’s Enlightenment Day, on which we celebrate Buddha’s extraordinary deed of showing the manner of attaining enlightenment in this world. Kadampas around the world share their thoughts on this auspicious day.
Friends of the World With the Spanish National Festival postponed until September, KMC Spain organised a special national online event called “Friends of the world”. Over 450 people from all over Spain gathered online April 8 – 12 to attend these inspiring teachings.
Following the advice of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, on April 8, Tara Day, Kadampas from all over the world joined together in 24-hour Tara Chanting online. 3,500 people from 31 countries joined in this powerful, global puja.
