Recently over 200 people from all over Germany, the Netherlands and Austria participated in the German Dharma Celebration online.
April 15 is Buddha’s Enlightenment Day, on which we celebrate Buddha’s extraordinary deed of showing the manner of attaining enlightenment in this world. Kadampas around the world share their thoughts on this auspicious day.
Friends of the World With the Spanish National Festival postponed until September, KMC Spain organised a special national online event called “Friends of the world”. Over 450 people from all over Spain gathered online April 8 – 12 to attend these inspiring teachings.
Following the advice of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, on April 8, Tara Day, Kadampas from all over the world joined together in 24-hour Tara Chanting online. 3,500 people from 31 countries joined in this powerful, global puja. When asked recently how we can best help the world at this time, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche said by praying to Tara. Following this advice, starting tomorrow April 8, Tara Day, Kadampas around the world will join together for six sessions of prayers to Tara in 24 hours.
Yesterday, NKT Day, 5,000 people gathered online to watch a special teaching by Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong, General Spiritual Director of NKT, and to join in special prayers including Request to the Holy Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche from his Faithful Disciples:
In 1991 Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche founded the New Kadampa Tradition (NKT), which later became known as New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU).
Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong explains the practice of 24-hour Tara Chanting that will now be practiced on the 8th day of every month by a worldwide virtual community- hope you can join !
This weekend, the Southern UK Dharma Celebration was held online for the first time. Teaching from Nagarjuna Centre, Kadam Bridget Heyes, UK National Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU, was live-streamed to over 300 attendees who watched from home.
