WEEKEND COURSE WITH GEN-LA KELSANG DEKYONG

Manjushri Centre is magical in every season and in the short days of winter the Temple seemed especially warm and welcoming as people from the UK and beyond gathered together for a special weekend with Gen-la Dekyong.

The whole weekend was pervaded by wisdom and compassion as we received one extraordinary teaching after another from Gen-la Dekyong, together with a very powerful, blessed and peaceful empowerment. Gen-la shared essential insights and oral teachings into the practice of the Buddha of Compassion, Avalokiteshvara, that are relevant to every aspect of our spiritual life.

Gen Devi guided the retreat sessions to deepen our experience of the teachings in meditation. We engaged in the practice of purifying and transforming the six classes of living being using the beautiful prayers of the Avalokiteshvara Sadhana.

Coming together in this way reminds us of the strength and spiritual energy we can collectively experience in a relatively short space of time. Uplifted, energized and holding all living beings in the mind of compassion the weekend may have ceased but its benefits will continue until these compassionate intentions are fulfilled.
