The personal submissions all seem to share a common theme… people! So many of you shared your big smiles and joy at reconnecting with international Kadampa friends, as well as forming new friendships. Attendees also seemed to really enjoy the gothic features of the Grade II* Listed Building – Conishead Priory and fell in love with the natural surroundings of Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre. This blessed space, Tara IKRC’s new Meditation Hall, is inspired by the vision of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, where everyone is welcome to enjoy peace and tranquility, is opening at 7.30pm on the evening of September 19th 2025.
Join thousands of people around the world for this powerful online puja streamed from Manjushri KMC at Summer Festival 2025. We recite sincere Prayers and Requests to the Assembly of 21 Taras and deeply request the Blessed Mother to bestow her blessings on all living beings so that all sickness, poverty, misfortune, fighting and other obstacles are quickly removed. Everyone is welcome to join in.
This puja is recited six times in the 24-hour period beginning at 19:00 UK time on Thursday, August 7, with the Praises recited seven times in each session. The session times are: 19:00, 23:00 (Thursday), 03:00, 07:00, 11:00, and 15:00 (Friday) UK time. Join as many sessions as you wish.
It’s a beautiful sunny day and there is a happy anticipation in the air that this afternoon we will meet Mother Tara in the empowerment with Gen-la Dekyong. To prepare we engage in a series of meditations with Kadam Bridget Heyes to develop our compassionate motivation into a strong wish for enlightenment, so that we have the actual power to help others.
We are very fortunate at this Festival to be in such a blessed environment, surrounded by exquisitely detailed images of enlightenment that uplift our minds. Even from the back of the Temple, the shrine is radiant. Up close, you can spend a long time taking in the individual Buddhas on the hand-painted thangkas or the carefully crafted statues arranged on the shrine.
Today we received teachings on contentment from Gen-la Jampa: how to be satisfied with our inner and outer conditions with a good motivation, how to let go of the endless discontent that drives us to constantly seek and never find satisfaction in external things. Our endless scrolling, our endless acquiring.
