Post Summer Festival retreats in Spain

Deepening our practice with three inspiring Post-Festival retreats in Spain: Kadam Morten in Malaga, Gen Rinchung in Madrid and Gen Sangden in Barcelona.

Our post Summer Festival retreat was a truly special and deeply inspiring experience. Under the clear and heartfelt guidance of Kadam Morten, we had the opportunity to explore Advice from Atisha's Heart—a legacy filled with wisdom, love, and compassion that invites us to live with a more peaceful, generous, and happy mind.

Over several days, we enjoyed guided meditations, contemplations, and teachings that helped us connect study with practice, transforming the instructions into living experiences within our own hearts.

The wonderful setting of the Temple made the atmosphere even more special: a place of peace and beauty where everyone, both new and experienced practitioners, could find inspiration, spiritual support, and the motivation to bring what they had learned into daily life.

Without doubt, this retreat left a profound impression on us and encouraged us to continue along the spiritual path with greater confidence, hope, and joy.

We have also asked some practitioners to share with us their experiences of the retreat:

I was very fortunate to join the post festival retreat at KMC Spain, in the beautiful Temple near Malaga. The retreat was led by Kadam Morten. People gathered from all over the world; some familiar faces, some new faces. It felt like coming home. We all volunteered a little which made everything run smoothly. The sessions were gentle, joyful and available for all levels of understanding. It was a very meaningful retreat. The sessions anchored the teachings of Atisha into our hearts. The conditions could not have been better and the dip in the pool was welcome! Thank you KMC Spain and Kadam Morten from my heart.

KMC Spain brings together the best external conditions for your meditation practice: a beautiful and very blessed Temple, wonderful teachers, an incredible structure, and super kind volunteers dedicated to helping you with whatever you need.
Kadam Morten very skillfully guided us through a structural shift in the very foundation on which our practice takes place. From a real experience of refuge, all other aspects of the path can naturally arise: renunciation, bodhichitta, correct view of emptiness, and the two tantric stages. Beautiful and moving.

I love coming here at KMC Spain for the post summer festival retreat.

The whole grounds feels spacious and at the same time it is very quick to reach one place to another. Many very nice places to hang out with Sangha friends in between sessions like the world peace café, the outside dining terrace, the pool area and multiple spots in the garden. One thing I enjoy very much is gazing at the temple while eating breakfast. It feels very special. Inside the temple it's very quiet and the temperature is nice and fresh making it comfortable to meditate here. Thank you KMC Spain team and thank you Geshe-la :-)

An unforgettable post-summer Festival Retreat in the Sierra of Madrid
with gen kelsang Rinchung

More than 130 people, most of them new, shared 5 days of Dharma, love, and connection guided by the warm presence of Gen Kelsang Rinchung, National Spiritual Director of Argentina and Uruguay.

The energy was so special that we even opened the second gompa with a video link, creating a space full of peace, joy, and shared learning.

The retreat reminded us that true happiness comes from cultivating a kind heart and a peaceful mind

Precious moments shared at the post Summer Festival retreat with Gen Kelsang Sangden at KMC Barcelona.

More than 140 people were meditating on Atisha's Advice from the Heart and practicing Green Tara. It was a week of purification, wisdom, inspiration, and kindness.

Thank you all for participating and making this possible so that Dharma can reach more and more people.
