News from the post Summer Festival retreats

Following the beautiful Kadampa Summer Festival 2025, there were two inspiring Post-Festival retreats in the UK, at Nagarjuna KMC and KMC Heruka, as well as a Post-Festival retreat in Hong Kong.

Post Summer Festival Retreat with Gen Kelsang Rabten in hong kong

More than 80 people attended the Post Summer Festival retreat with visiting Teacher, Gen Kelsang Rabten. We had a precious opportunity to contemplate, meditate and make a strong determination to put one essential piece of Advice from Atisha’s Heart into practice:

“Since this human life is wasted by indulging in distractions, now is the time to practise concentration.”

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Gen Rabten for coming to HK to guide the retreat and for providing clear instructions, practical advice and heartwarming encouragement on how to bring all daily appearances into the practice of Lamrim in order to take the essence of our precious human life.

Our Post Summer Festival retreat was a wonderfully relaxed and uplifting experience .

Through prayers and guided meditations, we drew close to Green Tara, the embodiment of compassionate wisdom, who responds so swiftly when we turn to her.

A heartfelt thank you to Gen Norden, Resident Teacher at Compassion Kadampa Buddhist Centre Newcastle, for sharing clear, warm, and inspiring guidance — incorporating precious Advice from Atisha’s Heart. This retreat has laid a strong foundation for our ongoing study and practice

POST SUMMER FESTIVAL RETREAT WITH GEN KELSANG RIGDEN IN LONDON

Our community at Heruka KMC in Golders Green recently enjoyed a special Post Summer Festival retreat with visiting Teacher Gen Kelsang Rigden from Kadampa Meditation Centre Deuachen in Sintra, Portugal.

Gen Rigden shared clear and heartfelt teachings based on the precious instructions given at this year’s International Summer Festival at Manjushri KMC. Drawing on the timeless advice of the Buddhist Master Atisha, he showed how we can take Buddha’s wisdom into our hearts and use it to transform daily life into the spiritual path.

The retreat was filled with warmth, inspiration, and joy, leaving everyone deeply encouraged to continue practicing these teachings in everyday life.
