Celebrating Turning the Wheel of Dharma Day and the Birthday of our Spiritual Guide
Jun 4, 2026
The Metz Sangha has been meeting for over a week to prepare for the start of the new teaching year, with a collective distribution of new flyers in downtown Metz, followed by a major cleanup of the center, followed by a community meeting.
The Strasbourg community also met for the first time to distribute flyers for our new classes in the heart of Strasbourg, followed by a meal to get to know each other better. This represents a new dynamic for developing Kadam Dharma in this city, which is important because of its multicultural and multilingual nature, in the heart of Europe.
A day of celebration with wonderful teachings and meditations on developing contentment with visiting Teacher Gen Dema from Samudra Kadampa Buddhist Centre in Buxton, Derbyshire.
We were also delighted that our first Teacher, Dave TJ, could join Gen Chonyi in cutting the cake(s) alongside the original directors of "Pure Land Buddhist Centre"
A very happy day and looking forward to the next 30 years at KMC Exeter! Thanks to everyone
KMC Aberdeen in Scotland held a wonderful open day on 7 Sept when we welcomed many newcomers to the center.
Following a talk on Solutions for Anxiety by Kelsang Konchog, many of our regular attendees and Foundation Program students chatted to those new to the center about the benefits they have experienced since starting their meditation journey.
It was a very special time introducing New Kadampa Buddhism and meditation to the attendees. Thank you so much to everyone who helped make the day very special.
Last weekend Lochana KBC in Cádiz opened its doors for a very special occasion – an Open Day and the first class of the new Foundation Program with our new Resident Teacher, Gen Rabjor.
Friends, newcomers and regular students gathered to discover the precious benefits of Kadam Dharma, sharing meditations, inspiration and joyful conversation. The warmth of the community and the kindness of Gen Rabjor created a truly uplifting atmosphere filled with hope and new beginnings.
We are deeply grateful to our precious Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, for making such opportunities possible, and to everyone who contributed to this meaningful day. May Dharma continue to flourish in Cádiz and bring peace and happiness to many.
June 4 is the Turning the Wheel of Dharma Day on which we celebrate Buddha’s first teaching in this world - the first Turning of the Wheel of Dharma. It is also the birthday of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, the Founder of NKT.
