Contemplating Death and Impermanence in Brooklyn

On October 28th, KMC Brooklyn held its third annual Walk and Talk at Green-Wood Cemetery. Kadam Kyle Davis led a procession of 50 community members through the cemetery, and at various points they broke into small discussion groups to explore Buddhist thoughts around death, impermanence, and how to best use our precious human lives. For many members of the group it was their first introduction to Kadampa Buddhism.

Green-Wood Cemetery is a National Historic Landmark founded in 1838 that attracts around half a million visitors every year. After the 2-hour Walk and Talk, many of the community members got lunch together to continue their discussion.
