What I get from Geshe-la's books

Normally we think of a book as a paper or digital product containing words composed of letters, but the more the Festival progresses the more we understand that our precious Dhama books are something much more precious, and much more profound.

In reality our Dharma books are realizations in the mind of the holy Spiritual Guide that are expressed in speech and recorded as written words.

As we begin to understand the profound nature of the books we start to relate to them in a different way, reading them slowly and thoughtfully over and over, memorising their meaning, and handling them with due reverence and respect.

As the embodiment of the Spiritual Guide's profound speech, the books for us are the Spiritual Guide himself.

Throughout the Festival site we see people absorbed in Venerable Geshe-la's books, reading memorising, discussing. It could be said that they are the very lifeline of the Festival.
