120 people have gathered at KMC Madrid over the last few days to take part in the annual Vajrasattva purification retreat led by Guen Kelsang Chokga, the Resident Teacher at KMC Spain and NKT-IKBU National Spiritual Director for Spain and Portugal.

Following the empowerment granted by Gen-la Jampa earlier in the year at the Spanish National Festival, this retreat provides a perfect opportunity to gain genuine experience of purifying the mind of delusions and negativity by relying on Vajrasattva, the Buddha of Purification.

During the sessions the retreaters are following the sadhana Meditación y recitación del Vajrasatva Solitario, and enjoying meditations guided by Guen Chokga.

Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche says of this practice:

Under the influence of deluded minds, we have engaged in many negative actions and, as a result, we now experience suffering and problems every day. But we have the opportunity to purify this negativity and thus transform our mind and our experience of the world we live in. The meditation and recitation of Vajrasattva is a powerful practice of purification and a quick method to attain future happiness and spiritual realizations.
