From KMC Texas’s Spanish Program and retreats, to KBC Concepción’s inspiring Dharma activities, Nantes’s family meditation workshops, and Gen Demo’s talk on The Healing Power of Meditation in Indianapolis, we spread inner peace and harmony to all.
Retreats held across three continents brought people together in shared purpose, demonstrating the universal power of spiritual practice to inspire and connect
Three Dharma Celebrations recently took place across the vast space of Canada. Gen-la Jampa continued his journey in Canada by coming for the first time to Montreal to give a beautiful public talk ‘Is Peace Possible?’ on Wednesday November 20, followed by the Quebec Dharma Celebration 2024.
This month precious blessing empowerments were given at KMC Austria in Vienna and KMC North Carolina. These events help us to develop compassion and wisdom, to appreciate our great potential, and eventually lead us to permanent peace and liberation from suffering.
This weekend, over 300 Kadampas gathered in Mexico for the 2024 Dharma Celebration, where they received the blessings of Buddha Amitayus from Gen Kelsang Sangden. Participants engaged in teachings on The Yoga of Buddha Amitayus, deepening their meditation practice and reflecting on the precious value of human life. Inspired and uplifted, they returned home determined to pursue enlightenment for the benefit of all.
If we are followers of the Mahayana and are seeking to enter into Mahayana paths, it is essential to train in renunciation first. Renunciation is a cause of great compassion, which in turn is a cause of bodhichitta. If we are not acutely aware of the suffering nature of our own aggregates, how can we understand the suffering of others and wish to rescue them from samsara? The only difference between training in renunciation and training in compassion is that with the former we focus on our own suffering and with the latter we focus on the suffering of others.
