In the final retreat sessions, we enjoy engaging in the blessed practice of The Blissful Path, which we have all come to love. Gen Gomlam encourages us to keep Venerable Geshe-la at our hearts throughout, and to try never to do anything without him. She wishes everyone a wonderful year of Tantric practice.
We conclude our meditations by radiating love and letting the sun of our Dharma practice shine out to all living beings.

A Joyful Journey into Buddha’s Life
In the evening there is a very special event, with a joyful air of anticipation as everyone gathers in the Temple to watch a blessed recording of The Life of Buddha play. We are transported into Buddha’s life story through the Kadampa actors, who bring it alive in such a faithful and moving way. Many scenes convey profound teachings, bringing tears, laughter, and rejoicing.
Not an Ordinary play
Every Part of the Play has Great Meaning
At the end of the play, Venerable Geshe-la appears on the large screen before us and explains that this is not an ordinary play: every part has great meaning and teaches the correct path. With great energy and animation, he explains that it shows us the direction and internal path we should follow.
His love and compassion radiate out to us as he encourages us not to waste the precious opportunity we now have, but instead to accomplish the real meaning of human life. He reminds us how uncertain life is, and that temporary happiness is not enough. It is so special to see him again in this way and everyone takes his teaching deeply to heart.
Dedication
Cherish Others, Carry the Dharma Home
Gen-la Jampa shares some final words of rejoicing and encourages us to truly cherish others when we return home. He expresses the wish to meet again soon in Malaga at the International Fall Festival with Gen-la Dekyong, then leads a short dedication:
May all suffering quickly cease,
and all happiness and joy be fulfilled,
and may Holy Kadam Dharma flourish for evermore.
