Creating a Pure World
Gen-la Jampa shares deeply moving advice from Venerable Geshe-la, encouraging us to believe that all the beings around us are pure and holy. Rather than focusing on their faults, we should look only at their good qualities. Then, love and respect for others will arise naturally.
He reminds us that we create our own reality because nothing exists independently of the mind. This means we can change the objects we perceive by changing the way we see and relate to them. Through the kindness of wisdom, we can choose to view ourselves, others, and the world in whatever way is most beneficial.

There are more than 3,000 people at the Festival, and everything runs so smoothly and professionally. Participants take turns volunteering while also benefiting from the kindness of others who volunteer. Our interconnectedness becomes beautifully visible, and the best part is that everyone here can be part of this web of kindness.
People from different centers and countries take responsibility for different aspects of running the Festival. Teams of people from many cultures, nationalities, age groups, and backgrounds work, live, and practice together, speaking many different languages. It is truly an international Sangha.

You can see the joy that comes from helping and serving others. Beyond the happiness this brings, there is no self-interest—everything is directed toward benefiting others and creating future public benefit. That is what makes the atmosphere so pure and joyful.
It is often said that the Kadampa way is to study Dharma, meditate on Dharma and work for Dharma - putting the teachings into action by working to benefit others, while simultaneously accumulating the merit needed for our study and meditation to be bear fruit.
How skillfully Venerable Geshe-la has created these Festivals for us, enabling us to experience the true power of cherishing one another. Together, we have the opportunity to create the conditions of a Pure Land as we work side by side to create something beautiful, harmonious, and deeply meaningful.
Vajrayogini Practice
Together in Vajrayogini's Pure Land
In the afternoon, the International community gathers for Quick Path to Great Bliss, the extensive Vajrayogini sadhana led by Gen Gomlam. She encourages everyone to let the practice touch their hearts. Meditating on the Eleven Yogas of Vajrayogini together with thousands of people is a deeply powerful experience, and it is easy to feel surrounded by Heroes and Heroines in Vajrayogini's Pure Land. Outside, the rain pours down, but inside we are warm and dry, creating a pure new reality together through the practice.
