A Week of Inspiration, Community,
and Inner Peace

Across the world, Kadampa centers continue to create spaces where people can deepen their meditation practice, learn practical wisdom, and enjoy warm, welcoming community events. Here are three recent highlights —from a meditation and Japanese dinner in Mexico, to a lively summer fête in the UK, and a transformative course about karma in Peru.

An Evening of Peace and Flavor: Meditation & Japanese Dinner

Last Friday, we enjoyed a truly special evening at KMC Cuernavaca, Mexico—an event that beautifully combined inner peace with the delights of Japanese cuisine.

We began with a guided meditation led by Ceci Nuño, who encouraged us to deepen our practice of cherishing others. It was a wonderful opportunity to open our hearts, cultivate empathy, and strengthen our wish to benefit all living beings.

After the meditation, everyone enjoyed a delicious Japanese dinner, lovingly prepared by our residents.

The evening was filled with warmth, connection, and appreciation. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it such a memorable experience.

Summer Fête 2026 at Nagarjuna Kadampa Meditation Center

What an unforgettable day at the Nagarjuna KMC Thornby Hall Summer Fête!

With vibrant live music, beautiful artisan stalls, relaxing guided meditations, the World Peace Café, delicious food, Tai Chi demonstrations, face painting, and fun-filled children's activities, there was truly something for everyone.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing volunteers, whose dedication, hard work, and kindness in the weeks leading up to the event—and throughout the day itself—made it all possible.

And thank you to everyone who joined us. Your support, smiles, and enthusiasm created such a warm, joyful, and welcoming atmosphere. We can't wait to see you again next year!

Karma Course 'Why Me?'
at KMC Peru

Last Saturday, KMC Peru hosted a course called Karma: Why Me? taught by Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Namdrol. Over the course of two inspiring sessions, participants stepped away from the busyness of daily life to receive practical teachings, enjoy guided meditations, and engage in a lively question-and-answer session with the Teacher.

By the end of the course, everyone left with practical tools for meeting life's challenges with greater calm, wisdom, and confidence—skills that can help create more harmonious relationships and a happier, more meaningful life.

More than simply gaining knowledge, participants experienced a meaningful inner transformation, developing a deeper understanding of the law of karma and how it empowers us to abandon the causes of suffering while cultivating the genuine causes of lasting happiness.
