Heruka Day 2026

On Heruka day 2026 we can celebrate the appearance of the mandalas of Buddha Heruka in our world in the form of Kadampa Temples for World Peace.

The Kadampa Temples are not ordinary buildings but are based on the mandala of Buddha Heruka. Therefore, from a spiritual point of view, a Temple has many special characteristics that indicate it is not an ordinary place.

The special meaning of Kadampa Temples

How do kadampa Temples benefit living beings?

According to Mahayana Buddhism, a Temple is either the actual Pure Land of Buddha or a representation of the Pure Land of Buddha. What does this mean? At the beginning, right now, it is a representation of the Pure Land of Buddha. According to our Kadampa Tradition it is a representation of the Pure Land or Heaven of Tushita, and a representation of the Pure Land of Heruka, which is called Keajra Pure Land. Right now, we can say it is a representation, but sooner or later it will become actual Tushita Pure Land and Pure Land of Heruka or Vajrayogini. ...

... This Temple is one of the best ways of benefiting other living beings. Its main function is for living beings who see it or who develop faith to receive special blessings. It gives great inspiration. Whoever sees a Temple and the images of Buddha will receive Buddha’s blessings. There is no difference whether they are Buddhist or non-Buddhist, whenever anyone sees an image of Buddha, or Temple, they will receive blessings. Therefore, I can say, from my side, or from our side, that this is the best public benefit or public service.

We have built this Temple not only for our own enjoyment but to provide future generations with a great opportunity to enjoy it, achieve inner peace and progress on the spiritual path to enlightenment.

We are giving people the opportunity to listen to and practice the sacred Dharma.

This is the main goal in creating this building.
