Children Learning Dharma In Spain
Jul 12, 2025
It’s the last day of the Festival, and the sun is shining inside and out. We conclude our short but powerful retreat with two final meditations and with the strong determination to continue our practice in daily life.
Then the Festival begins to dissolve, chairs are stacked, tents are packed, teams pack away their kit ready for summer Festival. Everywhere you look things are on the move but no one is stressed and alongside all the industrious activity there are friendly goodbyes and quiet peaceful moments.
It's a good teaching on impermanence. The causes and conditions came together - the International Spring Festival appeared, was named and functioned so beautifully and now the causes cease and it just as swiftly disappears. May everything be auspicious for these international Kadampa gatherings to continue to appear again and again for many hundreds of years, according to Venerable Geshe-la's wish.
Here at Manjushri KMC, 1,400 people came together from centers and countries around the world. You could hear French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Norwegian, Swedish, Chinese, Finnish, Italian and many other languages and accents from every continent - a truly international gathering. The in-person attendees were joined online by 1,500 people around the world who watched via livestream or on catch up, bringing an additional dimension to the international aspect of the Festival. Across the globe Kadampas are meditating on LOVE!
May everyone be happy,
May everyone be free from suffering,
May no one ever be separated from their happiness,
May everyone have equanimity, free from hatred and attachment.
