From Sutra to Tantra, Retreats in Spain
Sutra and Tantra teachings of Buddha are a practical way to fulfill our own potential and gain the ability to lead others to pure and everlasting happiness. This year, in January, two Centers in Spain - KMC Granada and KMC Barcelona - explored these inner paths to enlightenment during retreats in the village of Moclín and the Montserrat Temple. Away Retreat in Granada
From January 8 to 14, KMC Granada organized the “Union of Heruka” retreat in the town of Moclín in Andalusia, Spain. A wonderful group of people participated in this blessed event guided by our beloved Resident Teacher, Kelsang Pandita. We enjoyed the profound teachings on the New Essence of Vajrayana and the time to reflect on this Dharma Jewel during the retreat.
The local area also offers a peaceful, natural environment and walks with stunning views of the Sierra Nevada mountains.
We feel deeply grateful to our kind Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for revealing these Highest Yoga Tantra teachings.
Barcelona - Retreat with Gen Kelsang Rabten
At KMC Barcelona, we have started the year in the Montserrat Temple by exploring the foundations of the path to enlightenment with Gen Kelsang Rabten, National Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition for New Zealand, Australia, and Southeast Asia.
We have laid the understanding of the Sutra teachings in a very practical and good-humored manner. In the upcoming weeks, we will review the 5 stages of Completion Stage, based on the book Tantric Grounds and Paths by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso through which we can fully manifest the potential of our mind.
This beautiful retreat began with two weeks guided by Gen Rabten and will continue for the rest of the month with our Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Lochani.
We are immensely grateful for the visit of this wonderful Teacher and filled with energy from meditating with this precious assembly ❤️
