Retreats in Barcelona, Colombia & Peru
In the past few weeks, many practitioners had the opportunity to engage in retreats organized at Kadampa Centers around the world. Organized by KMC Barcelona in Spain, KMC Colombia, and KMC Peru, the retreats provided a great time to slow down, go inwards, and reflect.
Retreat at KMC Barcelona, Spain
Amidst the breathtaking scenery of Montserrat, we enjoyed the blessed experience of a Guru Sumati Buddha Heruka close retreat at KMC Barcelona. We started with the recitation of 100,000 mantras of Guru Sumati Buddha Heruka, and to complete the retreat we purified any mistakes and our negative karma through Vajradaka Burning Offering practice.
Gratitude fills our hearts for these powerful practices that enhance our spiritual journey, guided by our root Guru, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.
Quiet time of reflection in Colombia
On the last weekend of November, people from KMC Colombia in Bogotá gathered for an away retreat called “How to Solve Our Problems with the Greatest Virtue: Patience.” The retreat was led by Kelsang Tumo, who gave very helpful teachings based on How to Solve Our Human Problems by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso and guided meditations on the different types of patience, aiming to help us internalize this practice in daily life.
In this beautiful setting, participants also enjoyed spending time with spiritual friends - discussing, walking in nature, and volunteering - creating a very special and joyful ambiance during our final out-of-town retreat of the year.
Urban Retreat in Peru
On the first weekend of December, Kadampa Meditation Center Peru organized the retreat called 'Free Yourself from Stress and Anxiety' at a beautiful retreat house within the city.
The retreat was led by its Resident Teacher, Kelsang Jindak, who gave participants valuable teachings and guided meditations, offering us practical and simple tools to set aside negative thoughts and thus experience greater peace and happiness.
