Arising Like a Dream, Arya Tara Empowerment at KMC Deuachen in Portugal
At the Kadampa Temple in Sintra, Portugal more than a hundred people had the good fortune to receive the powerful blessings of Buddha Arya Tara.
During the empowerment ceremony and commentary to the practice, the resident teacher, Gen Kelsang Rigden, explained that Tara is the 'Great Liberator.' She continually frees and protects us from the dangers and problems we face in our lives. Ultimately, she guides us, like a wise and loving Mother, along the spiritual paths that lead to complete liberation.
By continually receiving her blessings and sincerely practicing Kadam Dharma, we will eventually realize that everything depends on our mind, just like the things we experience in a dream. Through purifying our mind, we can come to see everything as pure – our world, our pleasures, our activities, and even ourselves.
Then, by awakening our Buddha nature, just like Arya Tara, we can liberate countless living beings from suffering and lead them to the supreme happiness of enlightenment.
