The Compassionate Heart of Bodhichitta - UK Dharma Celebration 2023
Over the weekend of the 8-11 September 2023, Tara International Kadampa Retreat Centre, had the great good fortune to host the United Kingdom Dharma Celebration.
The event was taught by Kadam Bridget Heyes, UK National Spiritual Director, who granted the Empowerment of Avalokiteshvara followed by teachings on the healing minds of love and compassion. Kadam Bridget shared an oral transmission from Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche on how to generate especially, powerful experiences of love and compassion through the instructions on equalising and exchanging self and others. Through these trainings we will be able to generate authentic minds of Bodhichitta.
Over 400 Kadampas from all over the UK joined together both in person and online to receive these precious teachings and rejoice together in the flourishing of Kadam Dharma throughout the UK. Everyone relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful grounds of Tara IKRC between sessions, whilst discussing the wonderful teachings and making plans for trips to Malaga for Fall Festival in just a few weeks time.
A wonderful experience to have UKDC and the UK Kadampa Sangha back at Tara IKRC after a few year gap. Everyone had a relaxing and meaningful weekend.
